Matthew Hoh’s self-reflection on PTSD is brutally honest and insightful, especially coming from someone who has everything going for him – smart, articulate, personable. He talks about a moral dissonance that ex-soldiers suffer from when what they did or failed to do doesn’t match who they thought they were, and they have to live with that knowledge:
